 Mackinac Bands Peacemaking

  • Go to Peacemaking under Services. Peacemaking services are available to all eligible Mackinac Bands tribal members. This service is part of an effort of the Tribe to provide culturally sensitive, solution based, and community-led dispute resolution for tribal members. All requests will be sent to the Tribal Council, where the Council will then decide whether to take up the case. If the case is accepted, the Tribal Council will hear all sides and will attempt to settle the dispute or disagreement, while prioritizing mutually acceptable solutions.
