Important Enrollment Announcement

This is an announcement to let our members know that we are going through files once again to verify and update that all the information that we have is current and up to date.

Some people chose to disenroll to establish enrollment with another tribe and did not go through the process of disenrollment with Mackinac Bands.

We will be collaborating with the other tribes the list we have of those that did complete the process, if you were one of those that did not, please email or call and let us know.

There are many people who had minor children when you enrolled and once that child turned 18 it is a requirement that they contact the tribe to update, and a file is created for that person who is now over the age of 18.

We will have no choice but to put those files in a pending state and not include those names on our base roll going forward. We do not make that decision lightly, but in all fairness to all members and this tribe we have no choice. 906-984=2202 is the number to call and you can email me directly at lpowers@mackinacband.com.

We are asking for your help in this matter, it's been a huge undertaking with a small amount of people to do this work.
